MDI knobs are available with either inserts or studs in any thread size, length or depth, including metric. Molded from reinforced polymer to provide maximum resitatnce to torque, they also feature a shoulder that prevents clamping pressure from relaxing over time.

STUDS AND INSERTS are
molded into our knobs for optimum strength, and can be provided in
brass, stainless, or most grades of steel with zinc, black oxide,
and other plated finishes available. Metric thread sizes are also
offered. Our extensive metal processing capabilities include, cold
heading, screw machining and casting. MDI's complete secondary and
finishing facilities allow us to produce custom studs and inserts with
low minimums and short lead times.
PLASTIC MATERIALS Our
standard knobs are produced in fiberglass reinforced nylon, an extremely
tough material that provides superior resistance to impact, torque, and
creep. Conductive and other thermoplastic materials and custom colors can
be provided.
SOFT TOUCH are
produced with a core material of fiberglass reinforced nylon for strength.
A thermoplastic rubber material is molded over the knob surface to provide
a soft and secure grip.
CUSTOM KNOBS MDI's
unique tooling and production methods allow us to provide custom designs
very inexpensively. Company logos and other embossed designs can be molded
into our standard knobs for little or no additional cost. MDI can also
provide design and engineering assistance when required.
